AAT’s Lifelong Learning Portal

Make the most of AAT’s interactive resources to give yourself the best chance of getting ahead

AAT’s Lifelong Learning Portal offers both students and members an interactive learning environment, allowing you to take control of your development, track your progress and manage key resources to suit your study needs.

What resources does the Lifelong Learning Portal offer?

1

E-learning modules

These break down key topics into bite-sized elements with easy-to-follow facts, interactions and questions. Real-life scenarios contained in e-learning modules will help bring together lessons from each unit and illustrate them in an imagined workplace.

2

Video

Study support videos allow students and members to review key skills in five minutes or less. The videos are presented for AAT students, by AAT students and make use of animations to bring key learning points to life.

3

Podcasts

Podcasts bring you insight and interviews from subject matter experts across a variety of areas, allowing you to explore more deeply, particularly in more difficult topics which students find more challenging.

4

Green Light tests

Sets of questions that cover key elements of each unit, with a traffic light system showing which areas you’ve mastered, and which you need to give greater attention to.

How do I use the portal?

1

When you log on for the first time, you will see a series of welcome videos that will help you navigate the portal. These are great to help you get started.

2

The dashboard will vary by student, depending on what you are studying. So you will see streams of content that are relevant to your studies.

3

You will see your recent activity on the dashboard the next time you log in to the portal, so you can easily pick up where you left off.

4

You can create a study plan and add particular activities to your plan.

5

You can also add due dates so you don’t overlook your activities. The portal will reorder the activities automatically for you to help with your study planning.

6

Another great feature is the ability to search for a keyword or phrase across all of the resources in the portal, so you can easily find help with a particular topic, for example, “ethics”.

7

To help with your studies, you can create a goal, for example, to improve your writing or communication skills. Then you can add a series of activities that will help you achieve your goal, for example, read an article or listen to a podcast.

8

You can also pull in articles from different online resources and add links so you can access these easily. Once you have achieved your goal, archive it so you have space to add new ones.
